About
Hi there!
I'm Megan
I could tell you I'm a coffee loving mom and dog mom but likeeee who cares? Lol! Right now, you're just looking for a photographer you can trust to make you feel beautiful and that's my primary focus.
I promise you'll learn all about me at your session! I'm very easy-going and love to listen to your stories and experiences and I can usually resonate with every woman who walks into my studio on some level. My favorite part of the session (besides the end where you're blown away at what you ACTUALLY look like to other people) is the wardrobe fitting and hair and makeup portion of the session. This is where we actually get to spend more time getting to know one another beyond your initial consultation and allll the things come out. I love having deep rooted conversations with women who have walked similar paths and I love being a part of their journey to empowerment and self discovery even more!
I'm just a no bs kinda girl who found something life changing and I ran with it. I have been shooting boudoir since 2019 and I never get tired of it! Many people ask me how I got started and since it has been a popular subject (also I tear up almost every time I try to talk about it in person), so I'll add it here.
Like many other photographers, I started out shooting kids and families. One day, I figured I would see how much interest there would be in boudoir. I had seen some gorgeous photos from boudoir photographers in photography forums and groups and I was intrigued. I made a simple post to my Facebook page and within half an hour I had over 200 comments.
I decided to launch a model call just to get some experience and see what it was all about. I booked a hotel room for a weekend, bought some standard equipment, props, snacks, etc and booked about 8 or 9 women for one weekend. I thought I would probably get some photos of beautiful women and help them with their confidence plus learn some things along the way, but what I got was sooo much more!
I'm pretty sure we all walked out of that hotel room as completely different people. These women were women who had battled cancer, who had lost children, who had been abused, who had been sexually assaulted, who were widows, who had battled addictions, who had battled infertility, who had never loved a photo of themselves ever before with clothes on, much less with lingerie or next to nothing on. I watched as these women who had tears of joy and excitement run down their faces when they saw their photos- that was a wrap!
I knew I had to keep doing this work and it was more than just some sexy photos. And that is the story of how I became a boudoir photographer. If you resonated with any of that, you're in the right place. Schedule your consult below and let's get to know one another better!
